As if publishing the names and mapping addresses of law-abiding gun owners wasn’t bad enough, the left has now decided to use former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords in their ongoing shame war on gun owners. Yeah you heard me right, it wasn’t enough to just publish people’s information, now they’ve decided to use a tragic shooting to imply complicity in gun deaths and guilt trip people who own guns. From Twitchy:

Earlier this evening, lefties got the hashtag #DoItForGabby trending. “Gabby” is Gabby Giffords, the former congresswoman who was shot in the head in Tucson, Ariz., two years ago. Earlier this week, Giffords and her husband Mark Kelly founded a gun control organization that aims to “[b]an assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, limit guns per individual, require registration, and expand background checks.”

They also published a tweet from some lefty account which appears to be the catalyst for the left’s latest attempt at attacking anyone who doesn’t agree with their position. As a matter of fact, if you scroll through some of the tweets from that account and what they choose to retweet, it’s pretty clear they’re implying: if you oppose us, you are complicit in all gun deaths.

Look, a blind man can see that these types of tactics aren’t going to win over anyone who doesn’t already agree with them.  But I don’t think they care, because I don’t think that’s their goal any longer. In fact, I don’t think this is even about guns for them anymore.  I think it’s about something else entirely.

When the left’s tactics devolve into publishing lists of law-abiding gun owners, mapping their homes, and implying they are complicit in shootings they had absolutely nothing to do with, it’s clear it’s no longer about guns for them. It’s about the people who choose to own them. They don’t like people who own guns. It’s nothing more eloquent than that. They just don’t like the people. How sad is that?

Oh, and there is one thing these intolerant individuals can be sure I will #DoForGabby. It’s this: I won’t be shamed, bullied, or guilted into supporting their continued attacks on people who’ve done nothing other than deciding to exercise their rights under the 2nd Amendment.
