Don’t Hold Your Breath

Union thugs in Lansing, MI, decided to take action and tear down a tent belonging to Americans For Prosperity. Video:

Two things.

1. Don’t hold your breath waiting for President Obama to condemn the actions of his party’s loyal foot soldiers. If he does issue a statement (I’ve not seen one yet), he’s likely to condemn both sides (a bit like diplomats usually sound like in the Israel-Palestine conflict).

2. Conservatives of all stripes usually pride themselves on being peaceful and law-obedient citizens. Whether we’re talking about massive Tea Party-rallies or other gatherings, conservatives usually don’t start to tear stuff down or set up camps in public parks.

So each time an incident like that in Lansing takes place, conservatives hope that the media will notice this distinction between the right and left. Time and again, the media fails to come through. Don’t hold your breath waiting for the media to report extensively on it this time, either.
