Are you serious, Mr. President?

Have you seen this? That is the offer the President’s team gave the Speaker of the House in a meeting yesterday.

1. More tax revenue demands than the last time.

2. $50 Billion in NEW spending.

3. Phony promises to do tax reform and entitlement spending / spending cuts later.

That’s Obama’s proposal to avoid the fiscal cliff. As I said yesterday, before this ludicrous “offer”, it’s clear Obama actually wants to go over the Fiscal Cliff. He thinks he can blame it all on the GOP. He will try, and some of it might stick, but it will backfire.

It’s time for the GOP to walk away from the table. If Obama wants to play games, let him play them by himself. Let him blame Republicans for what happens next. They’ll get blamed anyway. Eventually, enough people will realize it was Obama’s failed leadership which cost them their jobs.

Bring the pain. It’s time to go cliff diving.
