The Democrat Media Complex Feeds Axelrod A Narrative

Or was it the other way around? That’s really the question at this point.

You see, the Obama administration has been caught lying, repeatedly, about what happened in the attack which led to the death of four Americans, including the rape and murder of US Ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens. The Administration knew the attack was a pre-planned terrorist attack within a day of it happening. Yet, the Administration went on a multi-week campaign to portray the attack as something that arose from protests over a video.

Faced with the reality of most of the media not being able to play along with the narrative, Team Obama had to switch course. Now, suddenly, the line is that Obama called it a terrorist attack on day one and this presumably means the administration has been treating it like one all along. Here’s how Top Obama Flack David Axelrod tried to reset the narrative on CNN on Sunday.

See? They weren’t lying the whole time. They were just being responsible! Nevermind all the stuff about the video being the root cause of the violence! Those weren’t the last two weeks you were looking for. You know, the ones where we saw multiple Obama administration officials linking the violence to a video and refusing to say the attack was a terrorist attack when we now know they knew it was 24 hours after it happened. You can almost see Axelrod doing the Jedi mind-trick thing with his hand.

So when did Team Obama decide to shift tactics? Did they plant the seed with POLITICO reporter, Josh Gerstein, who then wrote a piece basically providing some air cover for the Obama admin?

Despite a drumbeat from the right and even independent fact-checkers that President Barack Obama has been unwilling to label as terrorism the attack on a United States diplomatic mission in Libya, the president indicated just a day after the killing of the American ambassador there that the assault was part of a series of “acts of terror” the U.S. has faced.

Or did David Axelrod see the lifeline put out there by their loyal lapdogs and run with it?

This is where we are now. The Obama re-election campaign and the Democrat Media Complex working together to downplay Obama’s horrible record on everything, while holding Mitt Romney to standards usually reserved for an incumbent President.

Oh, and all this is happening while the gold-standard of liberal media bias, the New York Times, is out there trying to make the case that claims of liberal media bias are “tired.” Unbelievable.
