Sensata And The 99%
The fever swamp that is Team Obama – particularly the Lefty blogs like DailyKos with help from the SEIU – are trying to stir up a “controversy” that could “end Romney’s campaign” with a story about a company called Sensata. The “scandal” goes like this:
1) A company called Sensata is laying off 170 employees in the US because they’re moving manufacturing to China.
2) Bain Capital has invested in Sensata.
4) It’s all Romney’s fault.
That’s the gist of the “scandal.” The only thing they’ve gotten right is that Bain invested in the company. 99% of the other stuff is either a lie or a gross misunderstanding of the nature of private equity firms. Romney hasn’t had anything to do with the day to day operations of Bain since 1999. Bain invested in Sensata in 2006. Any claim linking Romney to anything that is going on with Sensata today is a load of bull. Period.
SooperMexican has done a great job filleting the nonsense on his blog here. Read it.
Kimberly Morin thoroughly debunks the nonsense here. Read it.
With three weeks to go in the election, the Leftist blogosphere is trying to manufacture a “scandal.” Meanwhile, a US Ambassador is dead and the Obama administration has been lying about it for over a month – this, of course, is not a “scandal” according to Obama supporters. It would be hilarious if it weren’t so insanely detached from reality.
