Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid Hospitalized After Crash

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid was involved in multi-car accident in Las Vegas earlier today. No official word on his condition has been released, but a report says a reporter at the hospital said Reid walked in under his own power. From NY Daily:

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid was taken to the hospital after a multi-car accident on an interstate through Las Vegas, troopers told the Associated Press.

Nevada Highway Patrol Office spokesman Jeremie Elliott said he didn’t know Reid’s condition after the crash, which happened at about 1:10 p.m. Friday on Interstate 15, which runs parallel to the Las Vegas Strip.

A New York Times reporter, however, wrote on Twitter that Reid’s associates said the senator was fine. He added that Reid walked into the emergency room after the accident.

I certainly hope he was able to walk in on his own and, more importantly, is doing fine and will be released soon.
