Via WaPo:

Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney plans to deliver a major foreign policy address Oct. 8 in Virginia, a senior campaign official said.

The speech comes about a month after a wave of deadly protests swept the Middle East, killing Americans at the U.S. diplomatic mission in Libya.

I erupted in a spontaneous “finally!” when I saw the Washington Post tweet this out.

While foreign policy isn’t the number one concern for voters in this election cycle(in fact, it’s quite far down the list), that does not mean that President Obama should be able to sweep his failing foreign policy under the rug. I expect Governor Romney to outline a vision where America once again leads the free world instead of taking a seat in the back.
