I’m no ad man (although after graduation, I’m open to the idea – add me to your lists in two years, people) but I think I’ve come up with an ad that could rattle this presidential election in favor of Governor Romney. Take a look at Obama’s latest narcissim in his appareance on The View:

President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama bantered playfully and held hands Monday during a taping of the female-oriented talk show, “The View,” giving no indication of second thoughts about the appearance despite criticism that the president was blowing off international diplomacy in order to take part in the often-fluffy daytime gabfest.

“I told folks I’m just supposed to be eye candy here for you guys,” President Obama said during a back-and-forth about him being the only man on the program. The show’s five co-hosts are women.

So here’s my idea: Darken the picture a bit and show this clip of our President joking about eye candy. Then spatter the screen with all the poor econmic numbers: 8% unemployment, manufacturing jobs, anemic GDP growth, the fact there are less people working than when President Obama took office – the whole deal. Meanwhile, the President saying “eye candy” is repeated over each dismal stat.

Then show the riots in the Middle East and the footage of the Benghazi embassy attacks, again with a the President’s “eye candy” audio soundbite playing.

Then comes the finale: “Is this really eye candy, Mr. Obama? Romney-Ryan 2012.”

I’d be happy to see this on TV everywhere. It’s time we had a President. Not an empty chair.

Eye candy is dandy, but wicker (wink) is quicker.

Can he try just once to form a sentence without using the word “Folks”?
