Well this certainly doesn’t bode well for Republican candidate Todd Akin. A report has now surfaced saying his television ads are being pull all over the state due to lack of payment. From CBS St. Louis:

Todd Akin’s TV ads are, reportedly, being yanked from stations across the state because his campaign isn’t paying the bills.

KOMU-TV in Columbia says it received half of the payment for an ad buy, and when it didn’t get the other half, it cancelled the rest of the ads. The station says its confirmed that other stations from St. Louis to Kansas City have been put in the same position.

Look, I get that he won his primary fair & square and if he wishes to remain on the ballot? That’s his choice. However, if this report is accurate and he can’t afford to run his campaign? He might want to reconsider. He has to realize that if the RNC helps him out there, Democrats will tie that support to every Republican running in every race in the country. He made himself toxic to the Republicans, not the other way around.

UPDATE: Ryan Hite, Press Secretary for Todd Akin tweeted to us that this report is factually incorrect. Here is his tweet:

I can see no reason why a representative of Akin’s campaign would tell us that if it were not true, so I’m led to believe the report was in fact erroneous and his ads are all paid for at this time.
