I have to admit, it gets a bit tiring just watching other people  relentlessly squash the liberal media’s attempt to build a narrative that the presidential race is all over and President Obama can just sit back and relax in the Oval Office (if he was ever there) and stop campaigning.

But Obama is campaigning. He’s on an Ohio blitz as I speak/write/type.

Here’s what Politico and MSNBC had to say about the race today:

Just a few minutes ago, yet another Obama shill from Politico headed on over to MSNBC to reaffirm the network’s relentless anti-Romney narrative. Today it was James Hohmann who said, the Romney campaign is “trying to spin us into into believing they are competitive and viable.”

Who is the one spinning here, Mr. Hohmann? Let’s review:

In the latest Gallup tracking poll, Romney is down only two to an incumbent president.

In the latest Rasmussen tracking poll, Obama is up only one.

And in the latest AP poll, Obama is again up only one.

Tell me, Mr. Hohmann: what part of a  dead heat isn’t viable?

We’ve still got weeks until the election and the media is already casting Romney as noncompetitive (despite running a dead heat) and nonviable (despite having so much cash on hand he could buy a small country). Next time they should make sure it’s not a narrative so easily demolished.

Stop spinning and start reporting.
