Cracking The GOP’s Racial Codes and Dog Whistles

Racebusters spends a lot of time monitoring the Twitter timeline and pointing out the obvious racism that exists in any opposition to President Obama, his policies, or his supporters. Trust me, no matter what you say about any of these groups, even if it’s not about these groups, like a good liberal, I’ll find the racism in it! Welcome to Day 4 of my series of posts exposing the dog whistles and racists codes uses by racist Republicans to foment hate,  violence, and racial animosity towards all people of color. Today I have chosen a favorite call to arms that these racists like to use: taxes. Yep. That’s one of their go-to topics when they want to use racist code to stir up anger and resentment toward President Obama and people of color. Today’s racially-coded dog whistle is:

“I support lower taxes.”

Oh? They support lower taxes? Seems innocent enough, right? WRONG. This phrase has a sickening underlying message from angry and racist Republicans. Here’s what they are really saying:

I want more of my money so I can give it to individuals and groups that hate all people of color.

The only reason the racist Republicans want their taxes lower is so they’ll have more money to fund hate groups, engage in racist conspiracies to disenfranchise voters of color, and donate to white politicians who will vote to enact racist and oppressive policies. The entire GOP support of lower taxes is nothing more than them wanting to have more money to fund what they truly desire: the extermination of all people of color in America.
