President Obama’s “Morning Mayhem”

President Obama hasn’t faced questions from actual reporters in well over a month (nearly two), but that didn’t stop him from showing up on a radio show called “Morning Mayhem” in New Mexico. Here’s what they talked about (full audio below):

  • New Mexico cuisine
  • mole
  • chili
  • Chicago food
  • workout music (such as Marvin Gaye, Jay-Z and a mispronounced Nas)
  • superpowers (he wants to be able to speak every language, how lame)
  • he has never listened to Call Me Maybe (but he has listened to the version using his voice (how self-indulgent)

Here’s what he didn’t talk about:

  • the $16T the United States is in debt
  • Medicare and Social Security insolvency
  • the budget deficit
  • Fast and Furious scandal
  • Obamacare
  • Biden’s “chains” comment
  • the NATO chopper that crashed in Afghanistan

Guys, America deserves better than this guy. At the very least talk to real reporters and do some fun interviews every now and then, not exclusively fluff. But I suppose if you’re trying to avoid the issues like Obama is, you don’t have much of a choice.
