President Obama finally admitted out loud what we already knew he believed. Today, at a campaign stop in Colorado, the President touted the government bailout of auto industry and said he wants to do the same in every industry. From Politico:

President Obama, while villifying Mitt Romney for opposing the auto industry bailout, bragged about the success of his decision to provide government assistance and said he now wants to see every manufacturing industry come roaring back.

“I said, I believe in American workers, I believe in this this American industry, and now the American auto industry has come roaring back,” he said. “Now I want to do the same thing with manufacturing jobs, not just in the auto industry, but in every industry.”

And here’s the video:

So there you have it. The President of the United States has just announced he wants the government to step in and own part of every industry, just like they do in the auto industry.

Unbelievable.

Obama sucks, but that’s a stretch.

It may be a stretch to say that Obama is implying that he wants government ownership and control over all industries, but would it be a stretch to say that he is advocating sending jobs overseas and foreign ownership of American companies when he says “Now I want to do the same thing with manufacturing jobs, not just in the auto industry, but in every industry”? The auto bailout led to these two factors directly: GM built factories and sent jobs to China and Chrysler is now owned by foreign company Fiat.
