North Carolina GOP Gubernatorial nominee Pat McCrory picked up a huge endorsement from the National Federation of Independent Business  today.  From the NFIB:

The National Federation of Independent Business has endorsed Pat McCrory in his campaign for governor of North Carolina. McCrory received the grassroots endorsement from small business owners in Cary at Frantz Automotive Center, an NFIB/North Carolina member.

“Pat McCrory understands the problems facing small business owners, and his commitment to solving them resonates with North Carolina’s entrepreneurs and family-run companies,” said Gregg Thompson, state director of NFIB/North Carolina, the state’s leading small business association.

“Pat McCrory has demonstrated his leadership as the seven-term mayor of Charlotte,” Thompson said. “He has shown that he understands the challenges and concerns facing North Carolina and the state’s small businesses.”

“As a small business owner and member of NFIB, I believe it’s important that we elect a candidate who understands the critical roll small businesses play in North Carolina’s economy – someone who will make it easier for entrepreneurs and small businesses like mine to grow and create jobs,” said Don Frantz, owner of Frantz Automotive Center, where NFIB announced its support for McCrory.

The NFIB made an excellent choice here and their endorsement should help further solidify the comfortable lead McCrory has held throughout this campaign. Clearly the NFIB knows what most North Carolinians know: the last thing North Carolina needs is anymore of the failed policies of the scandal-plagued Purdue/Dalton administration.
