I’m so glad the economy isn’t in shambles and on the verge of reverting back into a recession. I’m ecstatic over the fact that the federal budget is balanced and we’re not spending ourselves into a fiscal crisis anymore. Everything must be perfect, right? How else can you explain Team Obama’s priorities right now?

Jobs and the economy can’t be that bad if Harry Reid’s top priority right now is spreading blatant lies about Mitt Romney’s taxes. Unemployment can’t be above 8% for the 42nd straight month if pro-Obama SuperPACs are spending money making ads basically accusing Romney of killing a woman because a steel plant Bain invested in went bankrupt and her husband lost his job.

This is what we’ve become, America. Are you happy about this? Is this the hope and change you were promised?

Matt Lewis of the Daily Caller wrote a piece the other day stating that a Romney loss wouldn’t be that much of a disaster. I disagree. A Romney loss would be a vindication of the type of politics we’ve been seeing for the last few months. It’s disgusting.

I understand politics ain’t beanbag. It’s dirty. But this is beyond dirty. It’s cynical. It assumes the public is stupid. Democrats are literally trying to paint Romney (and by extension Republicans and conservatives) as someone who callously fired a guy in a steel mill that was already going under before Romney ever heard of it and didn’t care that the man’s wife got sick and died of cancer. Is this acceptable, America? Are we going to allow this to be how we conduct our elections?

Nancy Pelosi at an event in Florida claimed Republicans don’t want water to be treated and called them the “E. Coli. Club” in a reference to the waterborne illness. She actually said that. This woman was once the Speaker of the House and has plans on being Speaker again if Democrats take back the House. This isn’t some wacko on a street corner with a cardboard sign. And yet her comments received little attention or criticism from the “mainstream” media.

What have we become? Where can all this lead?

There was a time when stuff like this would be universally denounced and the purveyors of this obscenity would be shamed into obscurity. Today, they’re lauded and called “effective attack dogs.” It used to be that effective attack dogs were people who could use facts to effectively undermine their opponents positions. Now they’re considered effective when they can make up the most outrageous stuff and get away with it.

Have you had enough, America? What will it take for you to stand up in unison and proclaim that this is not worthy of our heritage?

Have you had enough? Have you?

I have.

Romney needs to nut up and start smacking these punks in the mouth. Lily-livered boilerplate like this (see update) is not going to cut it. Time to call a lying sack of shit a lying sack of shit and suggest that America is not nearly as stupid as Obama hopes it is.

Romney is just as crooked as hObama they are opposite sides of the same George Soros coin. Manchurian puppets. The election is fixed for Obama with the Paul split. They are being very obvious with their agenda to ruin this country and you’re right they think the American people are stupid and maybe we can beat them at their own game if we wake the hell up!
