Walter Dalton, the Democrat candidate for governor in North Carolina, just put another nail the Democrat’s NC coffin. He recently stated he can’t promise he won’t raise taxes if he is elected which produced this new ad from GOP candidate Pat McCrory:

While that statement and that ad certainly won’t help him in a race he is already behind in, the real issue isn’t that statement. The real issue is his support in continuing the ‘temporary’ increase in the North Carolina sales tax (read tax hike on all North Carolinians) instituted by scandal-ridden governor Bev Purdue.  Everyone knows that a “temporary tax” is never temporary. It’s presented that way to give them political cover and should be considered permanent until they are out of office. The only way to get rid of that ‘temporary’ tax? Elect Pat McCrory.

I realize the political value. I also realize that money from DC will continue to be cut, no matter who is President.
