North Carolina Troopers Association Endorses Pat McCrory For Governor
Republican Pat McCrory received a major endorsement from North Carolina law enforcement today. The North Carolina Troopers Association has decided to back McCrory in his bid to become the next Governor of North Carolina. Here’s what the NCTA had to say:
“Pat McCrory’s experience as the youngest and longest-serving Mayor of Charlotte and his hands on involvement with law enforcement issues makes him the right candidate to lead our state as chief executive,” said Ron Crawford, the Association’s President. “Governor is a tough job. And it requires a tough leader with experience to do it well. That’s why the North Carolina Troopers Association is proud to endorse Pat’s candidacy for Governor.”
The Association formally endorsed McCrory during their Family Day Picnic at the Tweetsie Railroad Park in Blowing Rock, North Carolina. McCrory attended and spent the afternoon meeting and talking with State Troopers and their family members.
This endorsement is in addition to the 39 Sheriffs across North Carolina that have already backed McCrory. Also noteworthy is that the NCTA endorsed current North Carolina Governor Bev Purdue (D) over Pat McCrory back in 2008, so this bodes well for him.
I’m glad to see they got it right this time.
