Someone played a really awful joke on Rutgers Wide Receiver Mohamed Sanu during the first round of last night’s NFL Draft. From NBC Sports:

There’s a good chance that Rutgers wide receiver Mohamed Sanu will be off the board by the end of Friday night, but for a brief moment he thought he was a first-round draft pick.

Sanu was watching the draft with his family on Thursday night when his phone rang. The Bengals were on the clock for the 27th pick, and the voice on the phone said that he was from the Bengals and that they would be selecting Sanu. As you might imagine, Sanu’s draft party exploded in joy that stopped just long enough for them to watch Roger Goodell announce the pick.

The only problem? The Bengals took OG Kevin Zeitler from Wisconsin. The phone call was a prank from some idiot and the Bengals had no intention of ever taking Sanu with that pick. I can only imagine what that was like for him and his family.

I hope that guy gets a real severe rash somewhere guys don’t want rashes to occur. Nothing life-threatening, but just some festering affliction that lasts about a month or so. I think that’s fair.
