Hilary Rosen And Double Standards.

You’ve undoubtedly heard about the Obama-bot/Democrat Strategist/PR executive who said something really stupid on TV. You may have even seen where this supposed PR professional doubled-down on those stupid remarks even after the campaign she was unofficially trying to help denounced her comments. While everyone is doing what they usually do when things like this happen, I’m going to use the occasion to show you just how pathetic the left’s smear merchants are.

You see, Hilary Rosen is an Obama insider. She works at the same PR firm where Anita Dunn, former Obama advisor, works. The same PR firm that is now representing Sandra Fluke. They may not be “official” Obama surrogates, but everyone knows they really are. This is how the game is played. Firms like Dunn’s don’t actually take money from the Obama campaign so they’re free to be the attack dogs for the Democrat Media Complex without having to deal with all those pesky campaign finance laws, etc. This way, when someone goes off the reservation, and reveals how Democrats really feel about stay-at-home-moms, they can all claim plausible deniability.

And how they did!

Democrats and leftists all over the internet were quick to jump into damage control mode. They know they’re vulnerable on this issue because their contempt for women who choose to stay home and raise children isn’t new. It’s in their DNA. Rosen’s sin was saying it on CNN.

In their panic, though, the left revealed how intellectually dishonest they are. It hasn’t even been a week since they tried to paint all conservatives as racists because of the indefensible article written by John Derbyshire. And yes, I’m going to use Media Matters’ Junior Fellow, Oliver Willis, to highlight the left’s disgusting smear tactics.

This was the left’s narrative up until National Review fired Derbyshire and denounced his bigoted rant. The problem with this narrative, of course, was that the stuff he said isn’t exclusive to “the right.” I’ve personally witnessed leftists say the kind of stuff Derbyshire said in these “quiet rooms” when they thought it was “safe” – not realizing I grew up in the very neighborhoods they were talking about. There are racists on both sides of the political spectrum. Racism isn’t a “conservative” or “liberal” thing.

Disdain for stay-at-home-mom’s, however, is almost exclusively found on the Left. It takes effort to not see it. In fact, one of the underlying premises of the left’s ludicrous claim that conservatives are waging a war on women is the fact that conservatives don’t make any bones about valuing “traditional” families. Leftists twist that into this caricature of conservatives where we are trying to keep women “barefoot and pregnant” and build the narrative from there. But we know it isn’t true.

Anyway, back to Rosen. When it became clear she was toxic, the left tried really hard to distance themselves from her. Faced with the fact that this Democrat insider’s insider had opened up a can of worms, they tried to pretend that she wasn’t closely tied to Democrats, but more importantly, the Obama campaign. Let’s stick with the Junior Fellow, for consistency.

Remember, the hack didn’t even try to provide any such “nuance” when he was tarring the right with Derbyshire. Despite his bigotry not being exclusive to the right, or the fact that he wasn’t a political operative, like Rosen is, Willis used it as proof that “AHA! See? You’re all racists!”

As far as I can tell, Derbyshire hasn’t donated to any political campaigns since at least 2008. Hilary Rosen, however, has given $58,900 to various campaigns – all Democrat, of course. Her bio at her PR firms website literally says she’s a Democrat insider. So portraying her as some rogue pundit on CNN is laughable. You don’t get more “inside” than Rosen. She’s been to the White House 35 times.

You see how the hackery works? Derbyshire, a blogger who isn’t particularly political, and who said bigoted stuff even leftists have said, is “proof” that conservatives are racists, but Hilary Rosen, someone who works at a firm run by a former Obama White House advisor, who has given $58,900 to various Democrat political campaigns, who has visited the Obama White House around four times MORE times than General David Petraeous has, is somehow not part of Obama’s re-election effort. The Obama campaign even “enlisted” Rosen to help DNC Chair, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, work on her messaging!

Obama advisers have occasionally told her to ‘tone it down’ and ‘back off a smidgen,’ Ms. Wasserman Schultz says. She agreed with them to enlist two seasoned Democratic female pros, Anita Dunn and Hilary Rosen, to begin giving her occasional political advice and media training, advisers say.

Sorry, Oliver and the rest of the leftist smear merchants, you don’t get to disavow Rosen because she slipped up and revealed what Democrat insiders actually think. Your double-standards don’t fly anymore. The left actually owns this one.
