It was a simple yes or no question.

In a Senate hearing on the President’s new, ridiculous budget proposal, ranking member of the Senate Budget Committee Sen. Sessions asked Obama budget chief Zients if the plan spends more than the agreed upong debt limit deal from last August.

Naturally, Zients filibustered, and not very well. The focus, he said, should be on the baseline instead and then rambled and talked over Senator Sessions.

Where’s the “Truth Team” when you need them? The facts: Obama’s budget would spend about $1.4 trillion more than the agreement set forth under the Budget Control Act. Obama signed that legislation, and now has the audacity to want to raise taxes and spend more.

The video of the exchange is below. The kicker: Sessions asks Zients if he’s proven wrong that Obama’s budget does spend more than oulined in the Budget Control Act if he’d resign. “Let me ask you this. If you are incorrect, if you are incorrect in saying that you do not increase spending more than current law, would you consider resigning your office? … Are you that confident in your projections? … I am disappointed that we can’t get an honest response to these difficult questions at this important time in our history.”

This guy has to know how incredibly bad this looks. His canned answers, repeatedly avoiding a direct question are laughable.
I don’t care what this guy’s resume says or how bright he is, this performance alone should destroy his career.
    What an absolute liar.
