Liberals: Fighting for Life in All the Wrong Places

The propensity of the left to consistently advocate death over life should be unfathomably disturbing to anyone with a heart, soul, or brain.

The latest example is an ex-Massachusetts judge defending her decision to force a mentally handicapped woman to have an abortion and be sterilized, even against her will.

Judge Christina Harms sidestepped the woman’s wishes and granted her parents the ultimate decision, basing her verdict on “the incompetency” of the woman, named only as “Mary Moe.”

Apparently a woman who had the capacity to become pregnant, take a case to court, and argue against her forced abortion while citing her Catholic faith and morals can simply be ignored and claimed incompetent if a judge so pleases.

This is an overreach in judicial power that should create uproar and yet, if not for conservative bloggers on Twitter, the story would have been lost on me and many others. If this is the first you’re hearing of this devastating attack on life and freedom, you have a liberal media who undoubtedly sides with the judge’s ruling to thank.

I tweeted this upon receiving the link to this horrific story: “When given the choice, never once do liberals “err” on the side of life. Ever.”

In response to that tweet, I was reminded by some of my Twitter friends that liberals sometimes do fight strenuously for life, but only when the life in question is a murderer or terrorist. The priorities they reveal in these incidents are telling of their foul agenda.

A fairly substantial contingent of incensed rioters took to Georgia streets in September 2011 to protest the execution of convicted cop killer Troy Davis.  Davis was found guilty of shooting and consequently murdering police officer Mark MacPhail in 1989.  Liberals started websites, gave rousing speeches on every cable network that would have them, and lambasted the death penalty as an affront to justice, all in the name of defending a man who murdered a cop.

Contrast the Troy Murphy case with that of Florida woman Terri Schaivo, who in 2005 was on a feeding tube and oxygen but sentenced to die at the omnipotent hand of a liberal culture that delights far too much in the precarious act of playing God.  The only outrage came from the “extremists” in the Christian conservative community, who outlandishly saw it unfit to kill an innocent woman on the bases of her inability to function in a way that society deems normal.  Conservatives were, of course, attacked for their defense of Schaivo.  This entire scene opened further an already agape window into the left’s agenda against essential human rights, granted by God and the Constitution of the United States.

Those on the left also have no qualms about going to bat on behalf of terrorists when their treatment is called into question.  Over and over again we witness liberal opposition to necessary (and proven, by the way) life-saving measures by our military and CIA.  They oppose waterboarding, which leaves no physical marks and is of no ultimate danger to the terrorist.  If Denzel Washington can do it for his latest movie (Safe House), our military can use it to extract information from those intent on killing thousands.

To summarize: If you are guilty of committing a crime, liberals will raise hell to defend you. If you are guilty of being a helpless human being, they’ll raise hell to kill you.

The issue of government-regulated health matters has become a heated topic as of late, due to the passage of Obamacare and the debate over the HHS mandate that Catholic and other religious-based institutions such as hospitals and care centers be required to provide controversial contraceptives.  Conservatives have begun warning that, with this government infusion of power, dastardly mandates like forced abortions are not far into our future.  These perceived nutjobs have been cast aside as crazy and unrealistic by a majority media who either don’t care to see the truth or are actively working to hide it.

Give liberals a choice, and like sharks in bloodied water, they will kill everything of innocence on which they can get their hands.  They have killed 54 million babies in 39 years, including Mary Moe’s.

This is neither life, liberty, nor the pursuit of happiness. If only that bothered today’s crop of American liberals.
