New RNC Video: Happy Election Year, Mr. President

It’s on.

2012 has barely started, but the RNC has wasted no time going on the offensive against President Obama with this new ad. Starting with the President’s speech that 4 years ago voting for him in Iowa was “the moment when it all began,” the ad goes on to demolish that premise.

I expect this to continue throughout the year as the election heats up. Using the President’s words against him (cut the deficit in half, fix the economy in three years, etc.) as well as the media and his fellow Democrats words may be the only weapon the GOP needs leading up to November. Add in the remaining weapons we have, the economy, the ballooning deficit and debt, etc. and for the time being we are sitting pretty.

That last quote of Obama saying “I don’t think they’re better off than they were four years ago” will be used so often in the coming year, no one will ever forget it. Good.
