Celebrating Abortion: The Left’s Humanity Deception

January 22nd marked the 39th anniversary of perhaps the worst decision America has ever made. The Supreme Court ruling on the case of Roe v. Wade that legalized abortion is without doubt the most morally abhorrent American atrocity since slavery.
The difference is, of course, that we got the slavery debate right. Not true of the abortion argument. 54 million babies have been aborted in America since the 1973 Supreme Court decision. We are losing the battle for life, morality, and humanity in a big, big way.
This extremely impassioned and often vicious debate illustrates quite succinctly the two distinct sides in a cultural-turned-political war. One side supports the God-given and constitutionally-given right to life. The other supports the ability to determine arbitrarily if an unborn “fetus” should be ensured their opportunity to live or not. This second side relies on government legislation to guarantee that their absence of basic human decency is protected by law.
This isn’t about the misconstrued meme of legislating morality, that even some conservatives and certainly libertarians guard against. The fact is that all legislation is a representation of morality, in that it directly and sometimes indirectly reflects the principles and values of a given society. The often used pro-choice argument by libertarians is that government shouldn’t be making these decisions anyway. Hogwash. If the government can make murder illegal (of course it can, and does, and is right in doing so), then this must include the murder of an unborn baby. We have double-homicide convictions for killing a pregnant woman, but killing only the unborn baby is allowed and encouraged. The contradiction here is obvious.
If abortions are well and good, why do organizations like Planned Parenthood try so hard to downplay their massive role in the American abortion industry? And to that end, if there’s nothing inherently wrong with abortion, why do providers claim they wish to make them rare?
The Left’s claims of tolerance and civility are easily debunked with facts and numerous examples where the opposite has been the case. For evidence to the contrary, one need only look at the recent Occupy street riots, the treatment of the Tea Party as terrorists, or anything Nancy Pelosi says. Liberal’s charade of humanity is laughable given that at every turn they have been the ones to oppose equality of life and opportunity for black people for the entirety of America’s history. This is documented fact, requiring only a look at the congressional vote split on civil rights issues in the 20th century alone to verify.
However, specific examples of the Left’s humanity deception, plentiful as they may be, can be cast aside. Abortion overrides them all.
No amount of political pandering and tolerance rhetoric changes the fact that liberals support abortion, and are proud of it. They will riot and protest to protect the life of a “misunderstood” serial killer on death’s row, but call those opposing the forced death of a child “bigots” and “haters of women.” It might be unfathomable to the reasonable reader how any sane person (it is not the intention of this blog post to question the sanity of liberals, but if you need a conversation starter for your lunch break…) can consider themselves on the rebuttal side of pro-life. Consider the implications of that. Favoring the opposite of life?
Think, for a moment, on the absurdity of even arguing against the idea that life begins at conception. By very definition, “conception” means “the action of beginning a life.” So pro-aborts want to claim that the beginning of life is sometime other than at life’s beginning? The science is indisputable, but even if questions remained, the brutality and barbaric nature of the pro-abortion stance is blatantly revealed through their unwavering advocacy for such through all three trimesters and even partially-born babies. The words that come to mind to describe this terrific horror of a baby being killed even after their body is exposed from the mother are inappropriate for this medium of any other.
One might wonder at which point liberals might say killing a baby is wrong. A few seconds post-birth? A few days? If partial-birth abortion is okay, how “partial” is acceptable? 50%? 75%? If the baby still has half of a foot inside of the mother, can it still be killed? This is a living, crying, breathing, human being.
Apparently if you slap a “women’s health” label on it, abortion becomes morally acceptable, even superior.
This is the statement from President Obama’s office commemorating the Roe anniversary:
“As we mark the 39th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, we must remember that this Supreme Court decision not only protects a woman’s health and reproductive freedom, but also affirms a broader principle: that government should not intrude on private family matters. I remain committed to protecting a woman’s right to choose and this fundamental constitutional right. While this is a sensitive and often divisive issue- no matter what our views, we must stay united in our determination to prevent unintended pregnancies, support pregnant woman and mothers, reduce the need for abortion, encourage healthy relationships, and promote adoption. And as we remember this historic anniversary, we must also continue our efforts to ensure that our daughters have the same rights, freedoms, and opportunities as our sons to fulfill their dreams.”
As if this statement wasn’t disgusting enough, in 2003 then State Senator Barack Obama voted against a bill ensuring protection for the life of babies who survived abortions. You read that right. If a baby is meant to be aborted, yet lives, the current President of the United States thinks killing the now fully born and wholly human being should not only be allowed, but ensured through legislation.
Not only do liberals favor the opposite of life, they celebrate it.
On Sunday, the 39th anniversary of Roe v Wade, Planned Parenthood, the number one abortion provider in America, asked their followers on Twitter: “How has Roe changed your life?” and stated that every woman in America has been positively affected through Roe. This is a taxpayer-funded organization, celebrating the fact that 54 million babies in the last 40 years were terminated before they had even a chance to crawl, or play, or sing, or catch a ball. As a Twitter friend @NewDealGin put it: “Celebrating abortion? They aren’t even trying to act like it’s regrettable anymore.”
And we think the cannibals are barbaric. May God have mercy on our souls.

Very good! I didn’t kbow that about Obama’s 2003 bill support. That’s sickening. I agree with what you said on Twitter: it is evil, and is the number 1 thing we should never waver on. -@GilesMcK
Mr. Cremeens speaks well and true of the terrible situation in which this God-preserved Republic presently finds itself. A nation “blessed with victory and peace,” this “heaven rescued land” cannot endure as a shining example of the primacy of truth and the glory of justice while we exterminate our young in the sanctuary of the womb.
From the earliest days of our world’s history, abortion has been held repugnant by those deemed to be our greatest philosophical, intellectual, and moral leaders.
Mr. Cremeens first frames the matter in terms that should be easily understood; reason & science. The very position of the Catholic Church, in her consistent condemnation of abortion, is based not in religion, but in natural law, science, and reason.
I cannot recommend nor commend this present offering by Brady Cremeens strongly enough. Read it, study it, print it out and use it in your conversations with those who attempt to sanitize and legitimize this barbaric act being done in our name.
You are so right. Not sure there is enough room for me to comment here. Keep writing the truth.
It it is every proven that homosexuality is genetic it will be interesting to see how the left reacts when two of their sacraments are in conflict.
Much better to always be in favor of life.
Very well put. Very moving. It’s so sad, the blood of those babies cry out from the ground. So cruel & barbaric.
Great article. Thank you for saying what so needs to be said.
Well said. Abortion is a horrifying stain on an otherwise wonderful nation.
Excellent Brady. Well done. Will RT.
Brady, great job!
I admire you Brady because you speak for the unborn children sentenced to death without a trial. Someone must since their voice is forever silenced. I think your comparison to the atrocity of slavery is appropriate. William Wilberforce was an evangelical Christian that spoke for the slaves, who also didn’t have a voice. It took great perseverance by Wilberforce and many other dedicated Christian warriors but they won the battle at an enormous cost in lives and treasure. (Our Civil War was just one segment of the battle against slavery.) They never gave up because their cause was just and so is yours. As Winston Churchill said “Never give in–never, never, never, never …” Brady. It’s your generation and leaders like yourself that must win this battle against evil. Normal people in the 19th century couldn’t imagine that man could find anything more depraved than slavery but the 20th century proved them wrong. Destroying our unborn children is an even deeper depravity than slavery in my opinion. What comes next in the evolutionary cycle of evil? As Christians we have to fight the battles God puts before us. We’ve read the book and know who wins in the end. Keep fighting the good fight Brady; when God is on your side, who can be against you?
I agree with Walker. …” Brady. It’s your generation and leaders like yourself that must win this battle against evil. “
This is a good post and I’ll agree with just about all of it except for the “life begins at conception” part. I think this is a slippery slope and isn’t based on sound philosophical or scientific footing. Allow me to offer a contrary viewpoint.
Anywhere from 50% to 67% of all fertilized eggs never attach to the lining of the womb within the required 1-2 weeks and never make it after that. Does that mean that over half of all life that is created is killed in the womb? By your definition that is exactly what it would mean.
Also, what happens with monozygotic twins? Do they both share 50% of that original life that was created at conception?

Again though, great post and keep articles like this coming. I love reading something that makes me think.

Excellent post, Brady! Very well written! I agree that life begins at conception; the very first time that the cell divides, it is a growing human being. Yes, it is true that often times this process is interrupted by natural means, but I personally think that it is vital to not INTENTIONALLY do so. When we interfere with a humans potential to exist, we are violating their civil rights. I do agree however, that this same right to life exists for those who have committed the most heinous of crimes. The right is just as dichotomous on this issue as the left is.
