The President Willingly Lied to You

President Obama caused a stir with his “I’m Gonna Be a President I’m Not for Halloween” speech yesterday in Kansas, but there was at least one part that left people scratching their heads. The President seemed to pull out a number at random, saying the some billionaires (which is now apparently a bad thing to be) pay only 1 percent on their income in taxes.  Here’s the quote:

“Some billionaires have a tax rate as low as 1 percent — 1 percent. That is the height of unfairness.”

The problem: it’s just not true. And the President and the White House know it. From the Washington Post:

An administration official conceded the White House had no actual data to back up the president’s assertion, but argued that other reports showed that some of the wealthy pay little in taxes.

President Obama willingly lied to you. And it’s not something that could be misconstrued to score a political point. No, they picked an argument that could easily be researched and made to support his point. It’s just that the results are likely not what Obama was hoping for, and to state the average tax rate wealthy Americans pay (which is indeed more than the less wealthy) don’t sound as good when you’re instigating class warfare.

Also, Obama didn’t mention it’s not illegal to take legal avenues to reduce your tax rates or that it’s on politicians like Obama where blame should be placed for creating t those very avenues.

Obama wants you to despise successful people, and he’s willing to lie to you to make you do it. Hope and change indeed.

    This is one more attempt at fueling class warfare, a favorite tool of the left and the Socialists. Almost half the population paying no federal taxes at all, and he wants to incite those who are not millionaires or billionaires to pick up torches and pitchforks and go after those who have more than they do. Those who do buy this class warfare BS are useful idiots, working to cause their own demise and crush liberty.
