ThinkProgress: Huge #OccupyWallStreet Supporters. Run By Former Lobbyist.
Posted by RB in Blog on October 12, 2011 3:42 pm / no comments
It isn’t surprising that far-Left organizations like ThinkProgress and Media Matters have gone all-in supporting the “Occupy Wall Street” protests. These organizations were designed to keep the kind of people who would participate in these incoherent “movements” dumb and solidly inside the Left’s Ideological Iron Curtain. It’s their job.
Media Matters is funded by the guy who pioneered the very hedge funds the hipsters stinking up the park on Wall Street are protesting: George Soros.
ThinkProgress, a blog run by the Center for American Progress (CAP) – funded by Soros and other ridiculously rich 1%ers who happen to be Leftists, is actually run by a person who is not only rich, he’s a former “evil lobbyist” whose job was to make sure his clients received special consideration from the government. You know, the very type of thing the hippies are protesting.
On CAP’s website, Podesta’s biography page has a glaring gap in it. Read it. You will not see any mention of his lobbying firm. None. And before someone tries to claim he is only covering “recent history”, there’s this:
Additionally, Podesta has held numerous positions on Capitol Hill, including counselor to Democratic Leader Sen. Thomas A. Daschle (1995-1996); chief counsel for the Senate Agriculture Committee (1987-1988); and chief minority counsel for the Senate Judiciary Subcommittees on Patents, Copyrights, and Trademarks; Security and Terrorism; and Regulatory Reform (1981-1987).
See that gap between 1988 and 1993? Guess what was going on with Mr. Podesta’s illustrious career in public service during that time frame? That’s right. He and his brother Tony started a little company called The Podesta Group.
Strange that ThinkProgress / CAP don’t want to let people who might be looking at their website know about this, isn’t it?
The useful idiots “occupying” parks around the country, railing against capitalism and free markets, falsely blaming other people for their situations in life, are being co-opted by organizations like ThinkProgress and Media Matters in order to steer them towards the ballot box next November to vote Democrat. Meanwhile, these organizations wouldn’t even exist but for the very system the protesters are protesting.
And they’re too dumb to realize it.
