During the CNN / Tea Party GOP debate, Wolf Blitzer asked a hypothetical question about a man without health care. At some point, Wolf asked if society should just let the man die instead of the public (government) picking up the tab for his medical bills. An all around stupid premise. But that’s what you get at these events.

A handful of morons yelled out “YEAH!” as in “Let him die” when Blitzer posed the question. I immediately knew that the Left had gotten their talking point for the next day. The professional smear merchants at ThinkProgress and Media Matters wasted no time in promoting the “the Tea Party wants you to die if you don’t have health care” narrative.

Whoever those dullards were in the audience – again, it was nowhere near a large number of people – they should be ashamed of themselves and probably shouldn’t be let out in public often. But they were not representative of the entire Tea Party. They weren’t even representative of the audience at the debate. Yet, Keith Olbermann, for one, considers this to be proof positive that he (and Alan Grayson) were right all along about the Tea Party.

This is interesting to me considering what happened last week in Longview, Washington. How is it people – Leftists – can indict an entire movement based on the actions of a handful of morons, yet refuse to do the same when FIVE HUNDRED union thugs took over a shipyard, held six security guards hostage, and destroyed property? (There have been two arrests, by the way. Finally.)

The hypocrisy is staggering. The double standards are a sight to behold.

Let’s remember, the situation Wolf Blitzer asked about was hypothetical. The “victim” here wasn’t real. The losers who cheered are still losers, but there’s at least an element of detachment here. They were cheering at the potential death of someone who doesn’t exist. The six security guards who were taken hostage do exist. They are real people. The property the union thugs destroyed was real. The windows they broke were real. The grain they spilled was real. The brake lines they cut were real.

I have to believe that if the hypothetical man Wolf was talking about was instead a real human being standing in front of those absolute nimrods who yelled “YES!” even they would have the basic humanity to keep their mouths shut, if not have a completely different opinion on whether we as a society should take care of him. But not Leftists like Eric Boehlert. Those people spoke for the entire Tea Party. Boehlert, as if to drive point home that there was a narrative the hypocritical Left should be pushing, tweeted several times about the outburst. Yet, that same Boehlert said nothing – zero – about the 500 union thugs in Washington.

Keith Olbermann, Eric Boehlert, ThinkProgress, and Media Matters do not have the moral standing to be indicting the Tea Party over the actions of three or four people. They gave up that highground a long time ago, but their silence last week in the face of a small army of union thugs committing an act of domestic terrorism solidifies their status as the biggest hypocrites on the planet.

Last year, I managed to hobnob with Kansas Democrat Dennis Moore at a charity event to raise funds for a home for abused and neglected children. He was named at the event, even stood up and took a bow. However I noticed (and this was confirmed by a board member for the home) that neither he nor any person at his table contributed a single dime. And yet I watched as elderly women on social security, die-hard republicans, gave whatever they could. Yes…Democrats ARE hypocrites.

If you don’t think that EVERY politician (regardless of political leaning) is a hypocrite in some way, you are blind.

As a conservative I’ve noticed a consistent trend: friends in the past who have been very liberal are very good at letting you pick up the tab for lunch or dinner, having dinner at your house, etc., but not reciprocating. I came to the conclusion that these people are not friends, but are cheapskate freeloaders. Liberals always want to spend YOUR money, but not THEIRS…HYPOCRITES!
