Governor of New Jersey Chris Christie

Well what do you know, looks like everyone’s fantasy presidential candidate Chris Christie has some nice words for actual potential candidate and Indiana governor Mitch Daniels. Could we see a 2012 ticket shaping up? Budget Hawks everywhere may need to hold back their squeals.

As top Republican fundraisers head to New Jersey in the hopes of persuading Chris Christie to leap into the presidential race, the New Jersey governor is heaping praise on Indiana’s chief executive.

In a radio interview on Monday morning, Christie said he’d like to see a governor in the Oval Office.

“He’s certainly somebody who I have enormous respect for and would give real consideration to supporting” Christie told talk radio host Chris Stigall, speaking of Mitch Daniels.

I know, I know. This obviously gives no indication of an impending ticket, but a guy can dream. One question, though: what does a Daniels/Christie candidacy do about foreign policy?

To answer you closing question…appoint Bolton Secretary of State.

I have another question – why would Chris Christie, a born leader and decisive, strong personality – accept the job of Vice president, sit in the Senate and watch 100 people of questionable motives jaw back and forth, and put up with the intelligensia and the DC/Dem media?

The only possible scenario for Christie is to have the big chair, and to be able to tell the national/lamestream media to go stick it on national TV whenever he wants to – and then watch them come back for more … just because they’re that way.
