Close your eyes and imagine what the media and the Lefty blogosphere would be saying today if we had learned that a Republican President’s re-election campaign was involved in organizing disruptive protests against a State Government. It’s hard to imagine because it would never happen. But it is currently happening in Wisconsin under our current Democrat President:

Obama accused Scott Walker, the state’s new Republican governor, of unleashing an “assault” on unions in pushing emergency legislation that would change future collective-bargaining agreements that affect most public employees, including teachers.

The president’s political machine worked in close coordination Thursday with state and national union officials to get thousands of protesters to gather in Madison and to plan similar demonstrations in other state capitals.

Their efforts began to spread, as thousands of labor supporters turned out for a hearing in Columbus, Ohio, to protest a measure from Gov. John Kasich (R) that would cut collective-bargaining rights.

By the end of the day, Democratic Party officials were organizing additional demonstrations in Ohio and Indiana, where an effort is underway to trim benefits for public workers. Some union activists predicted similar protests in Missouri, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

That’s right. The President of the United States is actively organizing, through his campaign arm in the White House, protests like these all over the country. Have we heard any condemnation from the White House over protesters calling Governor Scott Walker (R-WI) “Mubarak” or depicting him as Hitler? No. How about that one picture with the cross-hairs over the Governor’s face? Is that okay now? Do they see the awful message they’re sending school children? Teachers are calling in “sick”, shutting down entire school districts, and bringing students with them to protest over being asked to contribute more to the Teachers’ own benefits. Not only is the White House not condemning it, they’re HELPING to coordinate it all.

This entire situation is a case study in corruption. As Jenny Erikson explains, Public Sector unions are inherently corrupt because when they protest, they don’t just impact a company or an industry, they impact the whole society. The PUBLIC. In this case, school districts get shut down. A couple of months ago, people died because a Public Sector Union in New York City decided they were going to send a message to the city leadership.  Public Sector Unions can hold the public hostage. How is that fair to everyone else? Where’s the equality there? The Teachers in Wisconsin are being asked to pay the national average for their retirement benefits and HALF the national average for their health care benefits. They’re not being asked to pay more than anyone else and they shut down schools and try to shut down the State government? ENOUGH!

Our friend, Jimmy Bise, sums it up nicely. The events in Wisconsin should mean the end of Public Sector Unions. I’ll take it a step further and say that the protests, along with the fact that the President of the United States is sanctioning them and providing material support to them, should mean Obama will be a one-term President.

UPDATE: Not surprisingly, the DNC says it is all being “exaggerated.” Sure it is, guys. Sure it is. The problem is that they’re playing A role, not how much of a role they’re playing.
